Space-qualified precision coaxial connectors for LEO/GEO satelite, deep-space, and strategic defense programs
Southwest Microwave Hi-Rel connectors are manufactured under a qualified space manufacturing process. Materials satisfy NASA/ESA outgassing requirements (ASTM E595), with single lot control and full material traceability. Space screening, qualication testing, and Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) are available per ESCC/MIL-PRF-38534. Every Hi-Rel connector ships with a Certificate of Compliance and full test data.

Four core qualication elements for space and military programs
Material Outgassing
All polymeric materials qualified per ASTM E595 (TML <1.0%, CVCM <0.1%). Complies with NASA and ESA outgassing requirements for space applications. Test report provided with every Hi-Rel order.
Single Lot Control
All materials in a production lot are from the same raw material lot. Ensures consistency across all connectors delivered to the same program. Lot traceability matrix shipped with order.
Material Traceability
Full material traceability from raw material certificate to finished product. Mill test reports and material certificates are provided in the shipment package. Compliant with ESCC and MIL-PRF-38534.
Space Screening & DPA
Space screening per ESCC/MIL-PRF-38534 available. DPA (Destructive Physical Analysis) samples are tested to verify internal construction and workmanship. Includes X-ray inspection, hermeticity test, and cross-section analysis.
Qualification Testing
Temperature cycling (-65°C to +125°C), vibration, shock, moisture resistance, and salt spray testing per MIL-STD-202. RF performance verification at temperature extremes.
Certification Package
Every Hi-Rel connector ships with: Certificate of Compliance, material certicates, lot traceability matrix, outgassing test report (ASTM E595), workmanship inspection results, and optional DPA report.

1.0 mm Hi-Rel - 125 GHz
Space-qualified 1.0 mm connectors for D-band and V-band satelite transponders. TML <1.0%, CVCM <0.1%.
1.85 mm Hi-Rel - 67 GHz
Hi-Rel 1.85 mm series for phased array feed networks and satcom RF chains. Compatible with 2.4 mm interfaces.
2.92 mm Hi-Rel - 40 GHz
Qualified 2.92 mm series for defense and space applications. Compatible with 3.5 mm interfaces. Available in end launch and vertical launch configurations.
SMA Hi-Rel - 27 GHz
Southwest SuperSMA® high-performance SMA in Hi-Rel configuration. Ideal for L/S/C-band satcom and defense radio frequency chains.
Adapters Hi-Rel
Between-series and in-series precision adapters in Hi-Rel configuration. Lowest VSWR and highes repeatability for space test equipment.
Cable Assemblies Hi-Rel
Hi-Rel flex cable assemblies with space-qualified cable and connectors. Phase-matched sets and ruggedized options available.

Certificate of Compliance
Includes material certicates, lot traceability matrix, outgassing test report (ASTM E595), and workmanship inspection results.
Test Data Report
VSWR and insertion loss test data for each unit. Optional extended test data (phase, group delay) available upon request.
DPA Report
For orders with DPA requirement: cross-section photomicrographs, internal visual inspection results, and DPA conclusion statement.
