Telecom Infrastructure
5G/6G backhaul · Microwave links · E-Band amplifiers - providing high-performance RF assemblies for next-generation communication networks
Telecom RF Application Scenarios
In today's hyper-connected, always-on world, the demand for reliable, high-performance RF technology is more critical than ever. UMS delivers the innovation and robustness that telecom networks require - from 5G infrastructure to sub-6 GHz deployments.
5G/6G Backhaul
5G networks rely on high-capacity backhaul using E-Band (71-86/81-86 GHz) and microwave bands (7-38 GHz) point-to-point links. UMS E-Band power amplifiers deliver 20-30 dBm output power with low linearity loss. E-Band LNAs ensure receive chain sensitivity. Mixers & multipliers support up/down-conversion, and VCOs provide stable local oscillation.
Microwave Links
Traditional microwave links covering 7-38 GHz bands are supported by UMS amplifiers and mixer products at 7 GHz, 13 GHz, 18 GHz, 23 GHz, 26 GHz, and 38 GHz. GaN power amplifiers deliver higher output power at elevated frequencies, while GaAs LNAs guarantee receive sensitivity, forming a complete microwave link RF front-end.
6G Frontier Bands
6G research explores D-Band (110-170 GHz) and sub-THz frequencies. UMS's GaAs/GaN MMIC technology roadmap extends beyond 100 GHz, with multiple W-Band (75-110 GHz) amplifiers and mixer products already providing the hardware foundation for 6G frontier research.
Small Cells & Distributed Antennas
5G dense urban deployments rely on small cells and distributed antenna systems. UMS medium- and low-power GaAs amplifiers (0.1-2W) meet small cell RF front-end requirements. Low-power designs support outdoor all-weather operation, and compact packages adapt to limited installation spaces.
