Defense RF Application Scenarios

Phased Array Radar

Modern phased array radars rely on core RF chips in thousands of T/R modules to achieve rapid beam scanning and multi-target tracking. UMS CHP series phase shifters provide precise phase control; CHA series power amplifiers drive high-power transmission; CHS series switches enable rapid transmit/receive switching - these three core chips form the RF backbone of phased array T/R modules.

Electronic Warfare (EW)

Electronic warfare systems require broadband, fast-response RF front-ends. UMS broadband GaAs/GaN amplifiers cover multiple threat frequency bands; Variable Gain Amplifiers (VGA) enable dynamic power management and precision modulation of jamming signals. Southwest Microwave high-reliability End Launch connectors ensure low-loss interconnects between EW modules.

Missile Guidance

Active radar seekers require miniaturized, high-reliability RF links. UMS integrated downconverters with LNAs provide high-sensitivity receive channels; GaN power amplifiers deliver high-power transmission in compact packages. All devices meet military operating temperature and vibration requirements.

Military Communications

Tactical communications and data links require anti-jam, low-probability-of-intercept (LPI) RF design. UMS LNAs improve receiver sensitivity; mixers and VCOs support fast frequency hopping; switches and attenuators enable power management and band selection. Southwest military-grade connectors ensure signal integrity in harsh environments.
